CENTER OF TECHNOLOGY
The Walker County Center of Technology (WCCT) provides all students with a safe, high-quality education that prepares them for the next step in life. Addressing student aspirations and individual abilities helps us understand how each student learns and which type of instruction will best fit that particular student.
As educators, we must promote innovation and risk-taking to provide students with the best in discovery, hands-on experience that will prepare them to capitalize on change. We are creating pathways for in-demand careers by offering students nationally recognized credentials and helping bridge the gap from school to work.
Students are the center of the environment at the WCCT; teachers and administrators provide opportunities for learning through quality, rigorous, and relevant technical instruction. We focus upon recognizing the individual student and being a positive influence so he/she will achieve career success, premier leadership, and personal growth.
We strive to be constantly developing a technology rich environment that stays current with business and industry through state-of-the-art Career Technical programs. All stakeholders working together will accomplish more than the sum of those parts working separately.
Through Career and Technical Educational development, we can synergize learning and provide the highest quality education and career development for all students within our schools and communities.
It is my personal mission to make a positive difference in the lives of our students, the people with whom I work, and to utilize my educational and administrative skills at the WCCT to make a positive difference in the Walker County School System and local communities through leadership and teamwork.
